+ God calls us to a marathon of faith and not to a short sprint or dash. To finish the race, it requires a resolve in one's spirit as well as full dependence upon his daily grace. Lord, fill us with your Spirit to be not only be race starters but race finishers. +
(히 12:1, 바른) 그러므로 이처럼 많은 증인들이 구름같이 우리를 둘러싸고 있으니, 모든 무거운 짐과 얽매이기 쉬운 죄를 벗어 버리고 인내로 우리 앞에 놓여 있는 경주를 경주하자. (히 12:2, 바른) 믿음의 창시자이며 완성자이신 예수님을 바라보자. 그분은 자신 앞에 있는 기쁨을 위하여 수치를 개의치 않으시고 십자가를 참으셨고 하나님의 보좌 오른쪽에 앉으셨다.
(Heb 12:1, ESV) Therefore, since we are surrounded by so great a cloud of witnesses, let us also lay aside every weight, and sin which clings so closely, and let us run with endurance the race that is set before us, (Heb 12:2, ESV) looking to Jesus, the founder and perfecter of our faith, who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is seated at the right hand of the throne of God.
